Wow, oh wow! It seems like yesterday that my friend Sophie Ward and i started planning out how her great story, “The Ginger Marmalade Toastmeister“, would look… I remember sitting at this amazing coffee shop in Santa Monica, huddling around rough thumbnail sketches, and brain storming all the little subtle touches we could add to it… aw i miss those days! I realized it was almost a year to the day since i started working on the book. And don’t worry, i will finish it really soon. That is my goal! i’m closing in on it. My friend Jason Jones hand wrote all the type for it! This picture is a little sneak peak of page 13 out of it. :) Let me know what you think!

    This is so great!

    I have no context, but something about a cat sitting on a pizza box strikes me as modern whimsy.

    I can’t wait to see more!

    Also: there is a great classic ice cream parlor here in OKC. Historic. Non-profit – everything goes to charities. I struck up a conversation with the manager, who was trying to find a gift for his wife for their first anniversary. I learned she is a big fashion fan, and since traditionally the first year couples are supposed to exchange gifts of paper, I suggested he check out your Etsy store for a print. Perfect gift in my mind. I hope he thinks so too.

    I love the perspective of this. You have so much detail going around in the background yet it does not take the attention away from the subject. Wonderful use of colors on the tiled stones. Lovely peice. One of my favorite.
