A Dream Through Puddles of Paint

Hello, my friends, how are you? It’s been a crazy month for us. We’ve have been moving for the last three weeks. I forgot how much work moving is. So, I’ve been working on rebuilding my studio at our new place, and it’s not fully there yet, but hopefully soon. But in the mean time I’ve had some fun playing around with 3D modeling and digital painting. I did this one inspired by Dolce & Gabbana FW 2012. What do you think? Kinda different? I’m planning on hand painting it too. I hope you like it.

In the Realm of the Unreal

Hey Friends!
Happy belated 4th for you who celebrate the 4th of July. And thank you for your kind comments on the video. You’re really too kind :) I was cruising around on tumblr yesterday and stumbled on to a site who had posted this picture. I seriously had completely forgotten about this experiment in the realm of 3d modeling and digital painting. It turned out so crazy. I really like it. The picture was inspired from the Marchesa Fall 2011 Collection. I really enjoy Marchesa’s collections. I always picture the royal family in our storybooks wearing Marchesa. I hope you like it, and hope you’re having an amazing day.

Book update: David and I are up to 235 pages written so far. We are on chapter 11 and just passed the half way point on the rough draft. I can’t wait for you all to read it :)

McQueen’s Girl

Morning!
How was your weekend? Mine was amazing! We saw the last Harry Potter movie and it was incredible! Thank you for all your support on the Dream Walking Society Ep! It really means a lot. :) The picture today is one i did last week. There is something about it i really like. I think it’s the soft mellow vibe. It sort of has the feel of a dream i had a few days ago.  The mediums i used were fluid inks, pens, & pencils. And the dress is one of my favorite dresses from Alexander McQueen fall 2006. I really hope you like it, and hope you’re having a great day!

P.S. Thank you for all your kind birthday wishes! You all are amazing :)

Marchesa Fall 2011

Morning! So i’m really excited to show you a little project i’ve been experimenting with. I know it’s really really really different than my usual work. But I’m someone who likes to constantly experiment. I really don’t like doing the same technique or medium twice. So i thought it would be interesting to try my hand at 3d Modeling + Digital Painting. So this was one of my first experiments. It’s from Marchasea Fall 2011. Which if you haven’t seen it check it out here. I’ve been a fan of Marchesa Collections, and the second i saw this dress I got the idea of a girl laying down with the dress flared out on an ornate rug under her, and i really like how it turned out. It’s so trippy don’t you think? I hope you like it.

Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2011

Good Morning Friends! Sorry for the 5-6 day absence. I decided since I passed up my 600th blog post a few weeks ago, that I should give Igor+André a facelift. So that’s what I’ve been doing over the last few weeks, and yikes, it was a learning experience. I didn’t know much about web design/coding in blogspot format so I had a crash course in it. I really like how it turned out. I’m not sure about you, but looking through the site and the different categories is like rediscovering the content. For some reason I feel like the scroll through experience is light years better now. But I would love to hear your thoughts :) I thought I would post the original Color version of my Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2011 . I posted a Black & White Version of the picture a few weeks ago, but i really like the color version too, so voila!

Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2011

Well I’m not sure if you all have been following the Couture shows going on right now, But a few days ago i was looking through the pictures of the amazing Christian Dior Haute Couture show, and there was this one specific garment that I had to paint the second i saw it. I really like how the painting turned out. It’s one of my biggest dreams to be invited to a couture show and getting to paint the collection! That would be so insane… but until then i made this ; ) What do you think? I hope you like it!

Well, my friends, My brother & I worked on writing a story book… I’m really excited about it… Like so excited that I can barely concentrate on anything other than the story. The painting today is one i did for Sundance Channel’s Full Frontal Fashion. It’s of Amanda Jules from a photo I took at Rachel Antonoff Spring 2011, which is one of my favorite collections of this last season. The fabric print was a lot of work, but like how it turned out. I really hope you like it :) P.s.s. My bro set up this Facebook page. So Igor + André is now on Facebook if you want to “Like” us! Haha Just Click Here!
